INTERNATIONAL HUNTING IN THE UK
Capreolus Club welcomes members from around the world who wish to enjoy the unique tradition of British deer stalking.
Whether you are based in New York, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Sydney, Johannesburg or elsewhere overseas, membership of Capreolus Club provides an established base from which to enjoy professionally managed deer stalking whenever you visit the United Kingdom.
FIREARM CERTIFICATES FOR DEER STALKING
Thinking about taking up deer stalking but don't yet have a Firearm Certificate (FAC)? You are not alone.
One of the most common misconceptions is that you must already hold a Firearm Certificate before joining a deer stalking club. In fact, the opposite is often true.
CONSERVATION & SUSTAINABLE DEER MANAGEMENT
The British countryside is home to six species of wild deer, all of which play an important role within our natural environment. In the absence of natural predators, however, deer populations require careful, professional and sustainable management to maintain a healthy balance between wildlife, woodland, agriculture and biodiversity.
At Capreolus Club, conservation and sustainable deer management are at the heart of everything we do.
WILD VENISON
For thousands of years, venison has been one of Britain's finest natural foods. Today, wild venison is increasingly recognised as one of the healthiest, most sustainable and environmentally responsible sources of red meat available.
At Capreolus Club, responsible deer management and the respectful use of wild venison go hand in hand.
UK DEER STALKING SEASONS
One of the unique features of deer stalking in the United Kingdom is that, with six species of wild deer and differing statutory open seasons, opportunities exist to stalk deer throughout the year.
Whether pursuing Roebucks in spring, enjoying the excitement of the Roe Rut during summer, stalking Fallow Bucks in autumn or experiencing traditional Highland Red Stag stalking, there is always a deer season somewhere in the UK.
