Hunting Sika stag during the rut is one of the most exhilarating hunting experiences that the UK has to offer.

We cannot over emphasise the quality of this event, the deer are abundant and the location on Dorset's Jurassic coastline is stunning. This SSSI nature reserve, throws its doors open exclusively to the Capreolus Club for just a few days each year.

Our first trip of the season to this ground is designed to capture the very height of the Sika rut, which is a visual and audible treat. Added to which, the accommodation and dinner in nearby Wareham, is utterly first class.

This is a highlight of the Capreolus Club diary. Members meet at a superb, luxury 9th Century hotel shortly after lunch, before traveling 10 minutes to the SSSI stalking ground, for the first of two stalk sessions.

After the evening's stalk, we retire back to the hotel for some fine dining and a good night’s sleep. It is then up-and-out, bright and early the next morning, to enjoy a further stalk session before returning to the hotel for breakfast and departure.

Includes Dinner Bed & breakfast. All cull animals (Hinds & Prickets) are just £95 + VAT. Mature Stags are charged at between £400 - £1,200 depending on quality.
