Capreolus Club is led by an experienced team of professionals who share a commitment to sustainable deer management, conservation and the highest standards of British deer stalking.
Drawing upon expertise in deer management, wildlife conservation, firearms licensing, education, marketing and member services, the team works together to ensure that every member enjoys a professional, informed and personal experience.
Peter S Jones - Club Chairman
Peter S Jones is Founder and Chairman of Capreolus Club and is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading authorities on deer management. Through his work in practice, education, policy and conservation, he has become one of the most influential voices in British deer stalking and deer management.
With over two decades of practical experience, Peter remains actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the Club whilst also providing strategic leadership. He is Founder and CEO of the Shooting & Hunting Academy, author of the Proficient Deer Stalking Certificates (PDS1 & PDS2) and the Deer Management Certificate Level 3 (DMC3), qualifications widely recognised as the UK's leading vocational awards in deer management.
Peter is also CEO of County Deer Stalking, encompassing one of the UK's leading online publications and media platforms dedicated to deer stalking, deer management and conservation.
He regularly advises government departments, public bodies and industry organisations on deer management, conservation and wild food production. His work includes Parliamentary focus groups, consultations with DEFRA, the Food Standards Agency and NatureScot, together with acting as an independent expert witness in UK courts on matters relating to deer stalking, firearms and professional standards.
Prior to working full-time within deer management, Peter served for ten years as a Detective with the Metropolitan Police Service, receiving a Commendation for Bravery and Professionalism following his handling of an armed incident before retiring with an Exemplary Service Certificate.
Through his work in conservation, training, policy and practical deer management, Peter continues to champion the highest standards of professionalism within the UK deer stalking industry, ensuring that Capreolus Club members benefit from informed, practical and legally grounded guidance at every stage of their deer stalking journey.
Jonty Drew - Operations Manager
Jonty Drew oversees the day-to-day operation of Capreolus Club, coordinating member activities, stalking opportunities, Club events and field operations whilst helping to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and member service.
A professional stalking guide, PDS1 & PDS2 Approved Verifier and DMQ Approved Witness, Jonty has over a decade of practical experience in deer stalking and deer management.
He holds an Extended Diploma in Countryside Management, Game & Wildlife from Sparsholt College and a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and Environmental Management from Harper Adams University.
Alongside his work with the Club, Jonty has trained and mentored numerous candidates undertaking nationally recognised deer stalking and deer management qualifications.
Andra Jones - Chief Marketing Officer
Andra Jones leads the Club's marketing, communications and brand development, ensuring that Capreolus Club continues to reflect the professionalism, prestige and values upon which it was founded.
With a BA (Hons) in Marketing and a Diploma in Digital Marketing, Andra previously served as Head of Marketing for a leading Mayfair property investment fund before combining her professional marketing expertise with her passion for the countryside and field sports.
She is responsible for the Club's marketing strategy, digital communications, member engagement and brand development across the wider Capreolus Group.
Luis Passos - General Secretary & Treasurer
Luis Passos manages the day-to-day administration of Capreolus Club, providing members with knowledgeable, efficient and personal support across all aspects of Club membership.
As General Secretary and Treasurer, Luis oversees member services, financial administration and the smooth running of the Club's daily operations.
With a background in customer support within the aviation industry and a lifelong passion for wildlife and conservation, Luis plays a central role in ensuring that every member receives the professional service and attention for which Capreolus Club has become known.
